OUR opportunity
The H2Scout project addresses the pressing need to integrate hydrogen into regional energy systems. As the world transitions away from fossil fuels, regions face the challenge of developing cost-effective and efficient hydrogen infrastructure.
H2Scout provides a solution by identifying optimal settings for hydrogen production and distribution, ensuring that the transition is both economically viable and environmentally beneficial.
By leveraging advanced modelling and analysis, the project aims to answer the critical question: How can we optimize hydrogen infrastructure to maximize benefits and minimize costs while promoting sustainable energy solutions?
OUR APPROACH
The Toyota Mobility Foundation, in collaboration with regional partners, is leveraging H2Scout to support the transition to hydrogen-based energy systems.
The project involves detailed analysis and modelling to identify optimal infrastructure settings and quantify the economic and environmental benefits.
Toyota Mobility Foundation supporting the project to secure its open source and free access for regions.
Our Goals
- Promote sustainable energy solutions: Encourage the adoption of hydrogen as a clean energy source to reduce carbon footprints and support environmental sustainability.
- Reduce reliance on fossil fuels: Decrease dependency on traditional fossil fuels by providing a viable alternative through hydrogen energy.
- Optimize hydrogen infrastructure: Develop and implement cost-effective and efficient hydrogen production and distribution systems.
- Quantify economic and environmental benefits: Measure and demonstrate the financial savings and environmental advantages of transitioning to hydrogen-based energy systems.
